To call an on-campus number (including numbers on the Tacoma or Bothell campus) from a UW phone, you only need the final five digits of the phone number. For example, if you wished to call the CENPA front office – (206) 543-4080 – you would pick up the telephone handset, wait for the dial tone, and then dial 34080.
There's an exception: to dial a UW medicine number with a 744 prefix (followed by four numbers) you will need all seven digits to make the call.
Local calls, and long-distance calls to numbers in the US and Canada, are included in the basic rate for your office telephone line. To dial out from a CENPA telephone,
Calls to other countries require additional payment. Find out more about long-distance options here. If you need the services of a departmental budget coordinator, contact Ida Boeckstiegel.
