The CENPA faculty host a holiday party in December every year, usually soon after the end of Fall quarter. The date is chosen so as not to conflict with the date of the Physics Department holiday party, with input from an informal census (often at Monday meeting). Significant others and children are welcome to attend. Many former CENPA personnel (alumni and retirees) are also invited.
The party is usually held in the main conference room (178) in late afternoon and early evening (often beginning at 3 pm). The CENPA faculty provide drinks, a main dish, and some side dishes. Most attendees also volunteer to bring something to share, from egg nog to quiches to cookies. There are also ample volunteer opportunities for setup, decoration of the conference room, and clean up.
