For timesheet purposes, university holidays and days on which operations are suspended for inclement weather do NOT count as working days.
The University of Washington has ten official holidays during the calendar year. These holidays are not normal working days. The observed date for the holiday may be different from the actual date of the holiday, if the holiday falls on a weekend or in the middle of the week. Rarely, the University must suspend operations due to inclement weather. You can check the University's operational status in several ways:
If the University is still operating as normal, but it is not possible for you to come in as usual (due to local road conditions or closed child-care facilities, for example), you may be able to work from home for the duration.
